A little news...updated

Hi, all six of you! :) I just briefly wanted to share a new thing I'm doing. For the past several months, I've been struggling about whether to expand this blog...I feel like there are so many things I want write about, (hopefully someday) collaborate with other mamas about, or even have the opportunity to freelance about. However, I felt uncomfortable with the names of my children, etc. being out there for all to see (and perhaps misuse or malign, should my followers ever total more than 12 :). The scope of this blog has always been limited to personal family news and the happenings of my babies. Therefore, I finally made the decision to attempt blogging from a more....shall we say...official perspective.

Now, before you go, please don't stop following this blog! This is my personal journal about my children (and some semi-personal musings from myself), and I don't plan to quit posting here! Writing about our lives and my children is the reason I began blogging in the first place. However, I am seriously considering taking this blog private, so if you would like an invite to continue reading, please send me an email, or facebook me, or leave a comment. :) Nothing about this blog will change, the other blog will simply allow me to expand what I write about, who is reading, and hoepfully, my writing ability in the process :)

Camdon turned 18 months old last week! Camdon, you weigh (3/20 at the Dr.'s): 23lbs. and 5 oz. You are 32" long Your head is growing too, and still in the 95% percentile! Can't forget that big ol' head :) You are exploding with words! I am not even sure how many you can say now...you stopped calling daddy "na na" and started calling him "da da" a few weeks ago...I've even heard a few "daddy"'s in there. You say 'cup', 'apple', 'melmo', 'bur bur' (big bird), 'grofer (grover), all the animal names and sounds. You started this week saying, "dump (jump)", which you say every time you try and do it (which is alot). You also have just started saying "pease" along with your sweet "kank koo"....which is one of our favorite things. Sometimes life gives you lemons...PART 1

But you can't make lemonade because they're already rotten. And seriously, who wants to drink rotten lemonade? Someone told me, "You'll write your first book about this season of life". Hehe. I can't even remember half of this season. :) I've been thinking about blogging for awhile now, about sleep and what I feel like the Lord is showing me during this...extended....period of time in our life. He IS moving and speaking, and I've been tossing around whether or not to share. I think I will. Sometime. But I think, if I'm going to write my hope-filled "Jesus is showing up so it's all good" post.....it's only fair if I also blog on one of my bad days. Of which there have been many. One of the days that also exposes the deep struggle I've had during this season. Seems fair. So I haven't written anything. The spiritual blog posts are so much easier to write. 17 months

Camdon, you turned 17 months on Feb. 15th! Perhaps the most important development is that you are FINALLY sleeping through the night!! At the end of January, mommy and daddy left overnight for the first time (youth retreat), and you didn't get up either night....so when we got home, we decided to go for dropping that last pesky wake-up, and you DID it! Mommy is so proud of you! (also, she's almost getting enough sleep to feel her face again--jk (not really :) You like to "talk" or "sing" to yourself in the middle of the night. You are in love with "melmo", "cookie", "bee burr", and Sesame Street in general. Books, stuffed animals...even bits of the show. You love it all. You've taken to turning on the tv and saying, "melmo. Feet." because you want to watch the Elmo's World with the feet in it. If mommy would let you, you would be a VERY happy tv watcher...you think it's mesmerizing. You are my little...
